Italy Mission Trip - 2010

11th and 12th grade youth

July 2nd - July 12th
This summer our 11th and 12th grade students are joining with our music ministry to bring the musical "Celebrate Life" to the community of Ariccia Italy.
Where: Ariccia Italy
When: July 2nd - 12th (dates may vary due to flight schedule.)
Who: All 11th and 12th grade students who satisfy the participation reaquirements in the months before the trip.
What are the requirements?

Students wishing to go will be required to...

- maintain %75 or better attendance in Sunday School and Youth Connection (effective Sunday, January 31st).

- maintain %75 or better attendance in Senior High Choir, Handbell, and Ensemble rehearsals and performances (only applies to students already participating in these musical groups.)

- Work 2 or more Upward concession shifts (6 or more hours)

- Volunteer for Vacation Bible School


There will be fundraising opportunities throughout the spring, leading up to the trip. Students planning on going to Italy are expected to participate in these fundraisers as the become available.

The sales from the Upward concessions go to support Youth missions. The proceeds will be destributed at the end of the Upward season according to hours worked.

Forms needed for the trip...
-March 21st - $100 non-refundable commitment deposit due for all students and signed commitment card due for potential chaperones. Chaperone Commitment Card

-April 22nd – All passport names and data due for all trip participants. Each person is required to have a valid U.S. passport for travel to Italy. Passport should have at least 6 months validity remaining after intended stay.

-May 9th – Final payment due

-July 2nd-12th – Trip to Ariccia via Dulles/London/Rome/London/Dulles
